The default password is 142536#. You’ll be prompted to change it the first time you access the system. You will need to use at least 6 digits, and it cannot start with a “0.”

Web-Based Voicemail Options

You must have already converted to the ePhones system to access these links to the Modular Messaging System. To protect your privacy, access to this system is limited to computers directly connected to the VCU Network. We are currently working on a secure VPN solution to allow you to connect from other internet-based computers.

The MM Web Client can be used to manage your voice-mail inbox. Listen, forward to e-mail, and delete voice mail messages here.

Modular Message Web Subscriber Options
The MM Web Subscriber Options Application allows customers to configure their voice mail box and set up advanced features like Find Me, Call Me, and Notify Me.

  • Notify Me can be used for pager and cell phone notification.  Set up Modular Messaging software to notify you automatically when callers leave messages in your mailbox. You can specify whether you want the system to notify you whenever callers leave messages or when callers leave urgent messages only. Download the Notify Me Guide for detailed instructions.
  • Find Me enables your mailbox to redirect unanswered calls to a list of telephone numbers. Your mailbox directs the calls in turn to each telephone number in the list, unless you answer. If you do not answer at any number in the list, the system asks the caller if the caller would like to leave a message. Download the Find Me Guide for detailed instructions.
  • Call Me enables your mailbox to call you at a designated telephone number when you receive messages that meet certain criteria. For example, you may choose to be notified on your cell phone when you receive an urgent message during your morning commute. When you receive a Call Me call, you are invited to log onto your mailbox in order to review the message. Download the Call Me Guide for detailed instructions.

Modular Messaging web sites require the use of Internet Explorer. The following information is requested when logging in to either web site:

  • Mailbox Number:  this is your 5 digit telephone extension
  • Telephone Number: optional – if you want the voice mail system to call you at a particular number when playing voice mail enter it here. If left blank, the system will play messages through your PC.
  • Password: this is the same password for your voice mail box that you use when access voice mail through the telephone.
